Welcome to Scottish Silver aka Hayward & Stott Limited, silversmiths and metalworkers based near Penicuik, a small town near Edinburgh in Scotland. The company was established in 1999 by Jeremy Hayward and Charlie Stott offering a fine selection of antique silver and jewellery from the 17th to 2oth centuries and an eclectic range of modern silver and contemporary sterling silver giftware – for the home, the sporting field and for anniversaries and presents.
Silver antiques are those pieces made before the 1930’s – generally speaking. Such silver is now largely a Collectors market but we endeavour to supply a wide and varied range of items from the 17th to 20th centuries made in the UK but we also stock a small selection of European and American silver. We specialise in Scottish Provincial silver.
Our Modern range of silver giftware is mainly established on Scottish Georgian and Victorian designs which are exclusive to us. We offer Christening and Anniversary silver, Wine and Dining table silver, Small gifts for men and women and you may note that we specialise in Scottish pieces – quaichs, thistle cups and beakers.
We make sporting silverware for the Field, River and Race Course – beakers, peg markers, hip flasks, noggins and silver sporting birds; Pheasant, Partridge, Grouse and Wildfowl. We can also produce commissioned designs of animals of any description and size.
